The future is bright for the Warriors! Tonight was a great night at Lincoln-Way West welcoming the Class of 2028 at Open House.
Lincoln-Way West students are attending the Say Something presentation today during their lunch/advisory class. Students are hearing the importance of reporting suspicious or concerning activity and to ACT when they see something. #AWarriorWithin
We are looking forward to hosting the Class of 2028 at tomorrow’s Open House! Counselors, in addition to our teachers, will be available to answer any of your questions at the event.
Families should plan on arriving fifteen minutes earlier than the start time listed for the session and should park in the parking lot near the Performing Arts Center. The evening begins in the auditorium with an information session.

West French 2 students acted out a fun story called “Le Mardi gras de Beauregard” to learn about traditions surrounding this event in French-speaking Louisiana. #AWarriorWithin
Last week, Joseph Kocolowski, Dylan Bethman, and Camryn Revoir represented Lincoln-Way West at the 2024 Regional Bridge Building Contest at the Illinois Institute of Technology. They all did a terrific job. And a special congratulations to Camryn who had an efficiency of 2,212%. That is the highest efficiency West has had at the competition in the past six years and she took 5th place overall for the Southern Suburbs! #AWarriorWithin
Six West Gazette staff writers attended the SWSC Journalism conference at Lincoln-Way Central in January. They heard presentations from investigative news reporter Ben Bradley of WGN TV, the president of CBS 2 Chicago news, and fashion influencer Angela Kenney. Emmah Bouchari won third place in the editorial competition at the event for her story “The Freedoms of Social Media.” #GetInvolved
Spanish 1 classes are creating food trucks and menus based off of the research they’ve been doing on the cuisines of Spanish speaking countries. Students are presenting their food trucks to persuade their customers to buy their delicious food and are also using their skills to order from the food truck that looks the most interesting to them.

Can you hear underwater? Is your blind date really blind? What happens if you EAT a crayon? Join the Lincoln-Way West Theatre Company this Friday and Saturday for their Winter Play Senior Directed Showcase to find out the answers to these questions and more! The Winter Play Senior Directed Showcase will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday and the performance times for Saturday are at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are only $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the door prior to the performances. You can also purchase a ticket from a cast member or in the theatre office after school.

Student Council is hosting an Enchanted winter dance on February 24 from 7:00 – 10:00 pm in the main gym! Tickets to the winter dance can be purchased before and after school during the week of February 19th for $20. Cash, credit or apple pay will be accepted. Outside guest forms are still available in SSO and must be approved prior to purchasing a ticket for an outside guest. Students will not be able to purchase a ticket for an outside guest the night of the winter dance.
