A number of staff members started their day attending a presentation from college counselor Jim Kohlbacher, who provided an overview of NCAA eligibility requirements and athletic scholarship updates.


Senior Christian Gomez was recently visited by Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville admission representative Heather Poulsen to share some amazing news. Christian was awarded the SIUE Meridian Scholarship, which covers full tuition, fees, room, and board costs. This is an incredible achievement and testament to Christian's talents and hard work. Congratulations!



Attention Warriors! The comfort dogs are coming back for a visit! Warrior Way is hosting a pet supply donation drive for NAWS next week, March 13-16. Drop off items such as toys or treats in PPS to be able sign up for the comfort dogs who will be coming to LWW on March 17th.


The Junior PE student leader class is learning indoor rock climbing and how to belay.


Many of our varsity athletes from the winter season were honored tonight with an awards ceremony. Over the next several days, the Athletic Department will be recognizing each of them through social media. Follow @LWWAthletics on social media for more updates.

Congrats to the Scholastic Bowl team that wrapped up their great season at Regionals this week. Thanks to the Class of 2023 students for all of their contributions to the team the last four years. Congrats again Agnes, Asher, Charlie, Halle, Kealey, Nolan, Payton, Sam and Sam!

Join us for the annual ArtWorks Festival on March 18th from 10am-3pm at Lincoln-Way East! The festival includes artwork from 33 area schools from kindergarten through high school, hands-on art activities for kids, and music performances. The event is free to the public. We hope to see you there!


We are proud of Nolan Adam & Molly Marquardt who were selected as this year’s Michael McHugh Scholarship winners! Both seniors are Manhattan residents who are being honored today as the King & Queen of the Manhattan Irish Fest.

Students from Anatomy and Physiology medical had a tour of Helping Hands Children’s Therapy in New Lenox. Students learned about PT, OT and speech for children. Thank you Mrs. Nicole Hennings and Helping Hands!


A special congratulations to Nolan Adam and Samuel Fromer on their All-Sectional Honors awarded by the Illinois High Schools Scholastic Bowl Association! They will be leading the Warriors this Monday at the IHSA Regional competition hosted by LWC. Good luck, Warriors!

Allison Lysik is the Lincoln-Way West Super Fan for the month of February! Allison is a junior who is involved in Soccer, Best Buddies and Student Council. She is also a Student Athletic Trainer, volunteers as a filmer for the Girls' Basketball program, and is a member of the Junior Principal's Cabinet. Allison shared that her favorite experience as a Warrior has been her involvement as a Student Athletic Trainer helping at the Friday night football games.

Congratulations to our Mathletes on a successful day at Regionals this past weekend at JJC! Many of the Warriors placed top 3 in their competition earning an opportunity to represent Lincoln-Way West at the State Finals in April. Way to go, Mathletes!
