Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association has named Jake Zajc, our head baseball coach, as 2022 4A Coach of the Year. This is a great accomplishment and well deserved. Congratulations Coach Zajc!
Students in Mrs. Prieto’s Chemistry class started the week by conducting the Flame Test Lab. They tested different elements to see the color they emit when exposed to a flame. They used that information to identify unknown elements based on similar color patterns.

There was fierce competition today in Coach White’s PE classes! Students worked together in teams during fast-paced Tchoukball matchups.
Warriors – Please join us as we Destress Before the Test! We have a variety of opportunities to support you during the week of December 12. It is open to all Lincoln-Way West students and we encourage each of our students to try at least one of our Destress Before the Test activities. Check out the posters throughout the building to see more information about our Mindful Monday, Take Care Tuesday, Wellness Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, and Feel Good Friday activities that are planned for the week prior to final exams. Students must register for the activities ahead of time by using the QR code on the posters in order to sign-up. Registration for these activities closes at 2:45 pm on Friday, December 9. #LiveLikeAWarrior
Our first Warriors honoring Warriors event took place at our Wrestling Dual Meet. Military Veterans were honored. We are thankful for their service. Check out @lwwathletics for more photos from last night’s event!
Final Exams are scheduled for December 20, December 21, and December 22. Students will be dismissed after their last exam of the day based on their course schedule.

Today Lincoln-Way West welcomed Dr. Irigoyen from the OCD and Anxiety Center in Orland Park. Dr. Irigoyen shared insight on anxiety and stress. She also provided helpful strategies to effectively manage anxiety.
