Ire Adelakun, a senior at Lincoln-Way East High School, is committed to being a voice for students when it comes to mental health. His involvement in the Bring Change 2 Mind club at East has opened doors for him to make an impact on an even larger scale. He joined the BC2M National Teen Advisory Board, where he provides support for launching the club at other schools across the country, and he was recently selected as one of six students nationally to speak at a mental health conference in Iceland this June. The annual district-wide welding competition and fundraiser took place last night at Lincoln-Way Central. The welding program raffled off a a brand new 2023 Vivid EV Model V4 Monster Golf Cart with an estimated value of $14,000. With over 2,000 tickets sold, the funds raised from the raffle went toward trade scholarships for current welding students. The LWC Music Department hosted 225 fiddlers and strummers at the annual String Step-Up Concert last week! Orchestra and guitar ensembles from Lincoln-Way Central and West as well as orchestras from NLSD122, Manhattan114 and Mokena #159 performed beautifully!

Lincoln-Way CHSD 210 is proud to announce that Jessica Pascarella, special education teacher at Lincoln-Way West, has been recognized through the ‘Those Who Excel’ Awards sponsored by the Illinois State Board of Education. Pascarella received the Award of Special Recognition in the Teacher category.
