The Board of Education recently recognized students across all three schools for their participation in the Illinois Secretary of State’s “Read for a Lifetime” program, a statewide initiative that encourages high school students to explore a variety of books throughout the year.
The Read for a Lifetime program challenges students to read from an annual list of 25 titles. Students who complete at least four books receive certificates of achievement signed by the Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian, while students who complete all 25 books or participate throughout all four years of high school earn additional recognition.
