Homecoming 2025

As we prepare for our exciting Homecoming Dance on Saturday, we want to ensure everything runs smoothly for both our students and families. Please take note of the following important details regarding drop-off, parking, and event rules:
TIME: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
LOCATION: LWE Fieldhouse
PARKING & DROP-OFF INFORMATION:
1. If driving: Students driving themselves to the dance should park in the stadium lot and enter the building through Door 31 (athletics). Cars should enter campus off of LW Lane.
2. If being dropped off: Please drop off students in front of the auditorium area - students should enter through door 41. Cars should enter campus off of Colorado Ave.
3. See the MAP for further details.
ADDITIONAL REMINDERS:
1. No backpacks/bags are allowed - any items are subject to be searched.
2. No entry into the dance after 8:00 PM - all doors will be locked.
3. No Re-entry.
4. Please make sure students have their IDs and can access their ticket via email.

In Intro to Criminal Justice classes the Big Bad Wolf is on trial for killing and eating pigs. Today the widows, (seniors) Lucy Cosgrove, Sophia Campos, and Cassidy Jagielski took the stand in 3rd hour.

The Career Exploration class at East is learning about effective communication in the workplace. Playing games significantly improves communication skills by creating safe, interactive environments to practice listening, summarizing, clarifying directions, & expressing ideas.

Students in Mrs. Varnado’s and Mrs. Bugajski’s reading classes are putting their active reading strategies into practice as they dive further into The Five People You Meet in Heaven.

Here’s to making every moment count during their final year together as the unforgettable Class of 2026 with their Senior Sunrise!

East Students! We are kicking off our Friday Homecoming game with a blast of color! Join us before the big game for an exciting Color Fun Event — a first for our school! Show your spirit and wear a plain white t-shirt. Bring Your Own Powder – we’ll be throwing it to create a colorful print of blue, black and silver in honor of our 25th anniversary. No powder is allowed inside the stadium, so make sure to leave it outside after the event. See you there at 5:00pm

1. Wear Your Team Uniform Monday Night!
Make sure you provide your staff sponsor their uniform before Monday night!

2. Bring a Canned Good
Each team member must bring one canned good for Monday night. (1 can per player)

3. Use the HC Teams Page
Upload your dress-up day pictures to the appropriate folder for the week.

Brackets will be posted on the Teams page by Monday, September 29th — make sure to check them for!

Freshmen / Sophomores: 5:30 PM
Juniors / Seniors: 6:45 PM

The Career Exploration class had a special guest, Mr. Eric Wesel, Civil Engineer for Will County Department of Transportation. He gave great insights to the opportunities in this career and he is a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central.

On Friday the German classes celebrated Oktoberfest! We learned about the history and traditions. The students played a traditional game, tried some specialties, danced and made their own Trachtenhut!

We’re proud to see Coach Sabo and our athletes recognized for their hard work and dedication. Go East! Go Griffins! Go Blue!

Next weekend (9/26-9/28), Guys and Dolls opens on the Lincoln-Way East stage! This production features students from all three Lincoln-Way schools, continuing our collaboration across the district. The goal of our event is to not only have fun, but to give back to our local community. The entry fee to this event is each player must bring one canned good per person for Frankfort Food Pantry to the fieldhouse to participate. We hope to see you there!
