World History students collaborated on a PowerPoint via Office 365 to learn the eight features of the civilizations in Egypt and Greece. The Egypt group used a visual tactic as they mummified one of their own to enhance the project. #goeastgogriffinsgoblue


LWE science students competed in the annual bridge building contest. The room was filled with enthusiasm while students watched their peers test the construction of their bridges as teachers placed weights on the scale. The bridge-builders will learn if they advance to a regional competition. #lwescience

Mrs. Dangman's freshmen classes utilized the multi-purpose room to create, record, and publish character interviews from The Book of Lost Things as a lesson designed to help students better understand characterization and author's purpose.


Mrs. Cavanaugh attended the annual National Council of Teachers of English conference in Columbus, Ohio to learn about inspiring teaching practices of innovative English teachers throughout the country.


Today our students attended a presentation regarding anxiety during their lunch/advisory hours. Our guest speaker is Ms. Stephanie Pruefer, LCPC from the OCD and Anxiety Center in Orland Park. Ms. Pruefer educated our students on anxiety, the emotional and physical response to anxiety, and healthy ways to manage anxiety. @OCDAnxietyCntr
