Students visited Governor's State University for the SWSC Visual Arts Festival today. They enjoyed viewing their artwork in the gallery and working with GSU art faculty. They also got to hear a presentation by Peter Bertucci, a L-Way graduate working in the animation industry in LA. Congratulations to Sophia Mennella for winning the Best of School Award for L-Way East for her digital photograph!



Juniors joined Dr. Flitcraft from the math department to kick off the start of the weekly math review sessions for the SAT.
Each week juniors can meet in the Griffins' Lair right after school. Don't forget to bring your charged laptop and graphing
calculator! In addition to the 9-week math refresher, teachers are spending time reviewing for SAT in their classrooms since SAT is online.

PPS met with students today to review the necessary steps to visit their SchooLink account, a college and career platform designed to educate students on life after graduation. SchooLinks provides a complete set of tools to enable Lincoln-Way to improve performance and empower educators. LWE students can access https://www.schoolinks.com. Their account is free as long as they log in using their LW account. Seniors, a reminder to complete the necessary steps on SchooLinks when finalizing your post-graduation decisions.





Last week, Lincoln-Way Central hosted the SWSC Journalism Conference! Students from across the district, as well as others in the SWSC, heard from media professionals in a variety of outlets to help them explore career paths in the field.






The District 210 Literary Magazine is looking for Lincoln-Way Students to submit their poems, creative writing pieces, and artwork for consideration in this year's magazine. Contact Mr. Labriola by email or on Teams for more information. The deadline to submit is March 22nd.

Congratulations to the Lincoln-Way East Mathletes Team on winning the Conference Championship last night. This makes it 5 straight conference titles for the Griffins!! The team dominated with 618 total points. #east



Our Scholastic Bowl teams hosted their annual scrimmage versus the Teachers today after school. Students won 390-340. Teachers had the lead 210-150 after the first half against Frosh-Soph. Varsity made up the difference in their comeback in the second half. 🏆#east



The Future Healthcare professionals welcomed back LW graduate-Husna Hussaini (Class of 20) to share tips and tricks for getting admitted to Medical school.



LWE APUSH students are deepening their comprehension of the history of the late 19th century by taking a particular topic from within that period, and teaching and explaining their topic to their classmates. To prepare, students read more on their topic, analyzed primary and secondary sources that help illustrate the topic, and outlined an argumentative essay using historical examples as evidence to evaluate or prove a historical development.



Scholastic Bowl Team has had a great start to 2nd Semester! Varsity wins over Lincoln-Way Central and a dominant 380-90 Frosh-Soph win over the Knights. They followed that up with a 2nd Place finish in the Challenge Division of the Loyola Ultima Tournament this past Saturday.

The Class Officers have organized a PET SUPPLY drive for PAWS next week in honor of Sarah Simental- an animal lover and Griffin who lost her life. Please bring pet supplies to the bins in the main office in her memory and support for our local animal shelter. PAWS recently had a fire and they are in desperate need of blankets and towels. Check your teams page for more details and please help support a great cause.


Students are working hard and enjoying their time in Drawing and Painting class as their first project of the semester gets underway. Drawing and Painting is an excellent class to consider if you enjoy hands-on projects that allow you to be creative and express yourself.
