Our students participated in the Homeland Security Investigations Project iGuardian presentation today to learn about staying safe online. The program helps teens recognize and report online dangers while promoting smart, safe digital habits.
Congratulations to all of the students with artwork in the Vogt Visual Arts Center High School Art Exhibition. There are 31 students from LWW who have work in this year's show. The show will be on display at the Vogt Visual Arts Center, located in Tinley Park, from Nov. 8-30. A reception to honor the participants will be held on November 8th from 1:00-3:00pm.

The first batch of Woodworking 1 cutting boards made it out of the shop this week in time for the holidays. Students did a great job using every machine, working safely, and taking pride in their work! #BeAWarrior

Thanks to Operator Waxweiler from the Will County SWAT Team for visiting Mr. Ernst’s Criminology class earlier this month! Students had the opportunity to learn more about careers in law enforcement and even got an up-close look at the SWAT truck. #BeAWarrior
Girls Cross Country Finishes 5th at Regionals, advances to Sectionals!
The girls cross country team used strong pack running to qualify for the IHSA Sectional meet by finishing among the top 6 teams at the ISA Regional meet hosted by Lincoln-Way Central. The Warriors finished 5th as a team, with freshmen Neve McSherry leading the way in 26th place. The rest of the pack followed quickly after Neve, with only 51 seconds separating West’s #1 runner from its #7 runner. Ally Dean placed 32nd, with Penny Pinciak, Celest Reiling, Kate Lemke, Adriana Litro, and Ava Ferrucci also finishing in the top 40 of this highly competitive race. The Warriors will race against some of the best teams in the state next weekend at the Sectional meet at Maxwell Park in Normal.
