In case you haven’t the heard the incredible news, the Lincoln-Way Marching Band is performing in the Rose Parade in 2025! A very special congratulations to the students of the Lincoln Way Marching Band for their selection and invitation to march in the 136th annual Tournament of Roses Parade, in Pasadena, California on January 1, 2025. The invitation to participate in the Rose Parade is one of the most prestigious honors a marching band program can receive. This appearance will mark the fourth Lincoln-Way appearance in the Tournament of Roses Parade, with previous appearances in 1982, 2000 and 2019. The New Year’s Day parade will be broadcast in 217 countries, in over 20 languages to well over 65 million people worldwide. The LWMB was selected by the Rose Parade committee as one of 19 marching bands, of which only 9 are high school bands, from throughout the world! So everyone, if you know a student who is in the LWMB, be sure to congratulate them on this incredible achievement.

The cast and crew of Alice @ Wonderland have been working hard in preparation for the three performances of the fall play scheduled for this week! Performances are Thursday at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. General admission seating is $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the box office before the show. Opening night of the fall play is one week from today! Alice @ Wonderland is a modern retelling of the classic story of Alice falling down the rabbit hole. It has all of the characters you know and love, including the disappearing Cheshire Cat, insane Mad Hatter, the frantic White Rabbit, and the intimidating Queen of Hearts, while Alice is totally contemporary, complete with cell phone in hand. Full of references to text messaging and social media, the play imagines a present-day Alice encountering the Wonderland so many of us treasure. Full of visual effects this quality adaptation has been praised for its humor, modern style, and appeal to both adults and children. The cast and crew of 78 students have created a production you don't want to miss!

Students in Mrs.McCall’s Freshman English classes analyzed the short story The Masque of Red Death. They navigated their way through a Red Death Escape room using analysis and identifying themes, allegory and literary term examples. Armed with their masquerade masks and their partners, they unlocked the pieces of the puzzles to escape! #AWarriorWithin
