Twelve blankets made with love by our Interact students for Project Linus! Project Linus is a non-profit organization that provides new handmade blankets to children in need.
Students had the opportunity to hear from staff and Warrior Way leaders today about study skills in preparation for final exams. See your teacher if you missed picking up a review packet.
The LWW and LWC JROTC went to Navy Pier in Chicago over the weekend to help unload 1,200 Christmas trees from the United States Coast Guard Mackinaw ship. The trees will be donated to those in need in the community to help spread holiday cheer!
Mrs. Valkema, Mrs. Horn, Dr. Luzzo and Mr. Render led a study session on organizational skills this morning. There will be another presentation with the same information today after school in order to help students become better prepared when studying for final exams.
The Bridge Building competition is this Wednesday after school in the cafeteria. Students participating in the competition should bring their bridges and safety glasses from their science class. Students should contact Mr. Willis with any questions.

We currently have four students participating in the NIU High School Invitational! High School art teachers in the NIU region were invited to submit up to two pieces per teacher to the show. This year's show consists of 150 of the top student artworks in the area. The show will be in a virtual format this year and will be available to view until December 20.

Warriors – Please see the reminder about the schedule for our first semester final exams. This week, Lincoln-Way West is offering a final exam prep opportunity for our students to become better prepared when studying for final exams. All students are invited to two Final Exam Study Skills Sessions. Members of the West faculty will review Organizational Strategies and various Study Skills students can utilize in order to prepare for the week of final exams. Each session is offered before school (7:15-8:00 am) and after school (2:45-3:30 pm) in the Auditorium. Activity buses are available for students to take home at 3:45 pm. Students can attend either the morning or afternoon session each day.

The final number is in and NHS donated 336 toys to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation!
Look who made a visit to the Best Buddies event tonight! Students watched a movie and created Best Buddies ornaments alongside Westly.
Students have the opportunity next week before school to manage stress before the tests. Each day will focus on a different topic as we support students in preparation for final exams.
Thank you to the Amita St. Joseph Medical Center hospital staff for our hosting our Anatomy & Medical students this semester! Mrs. Neuberg’s students had a great semester and enjoyed the opportunity of initial clinical experiences at the hospital.
