West is heading to State after an incredible day at Thunder Bowl! The Boys Bowling team secured their 7th trip in 8 years. Led by seniors Jayden Kristie (5th) and Logan Nicholls (9th), and freshman Patrick Berlin (7th) with the team-high score of 268.

Twenty-two writers from The West Gazette listened to local news media reporters and editors discuss their careers at the SWSC newspaper conference. The speakers included Demetrius Ivory (WGN), Lexi Sutter (NBC), Courtney Scott (CBS), and Eric Siegel (ABC).
Freshman Madeline Murphy won first place in the opinion category for her article "Should Cell Phones Be Allowed in Schools?" and freshman Annabelle Fazekas won third place in the news category for her article "Block Blast: The Game Taking Over the School."
